Technically most Squishmallows don't actually have an official gender, since pronoun usage is not necessarily indicative of someone's internal identity. For example, it's actually fairly common for non-binary people to choose to refer to themselves by gendered pronouns or even a mixture of gendered and non-gendered pronouns. As such, the category name "Females" is really more of a placeholder term; fans can interpret their Squishmallow's identity in whatever way resonates most with them.
